Superman Fast! World’s Fastest train hits 603 km/h (375 mph)

Train hits 603km/h! or 375mph.  Japan’s JR Central impressively set the world record for the fastest manned train speed of 603 km/h (375 mph). JR Central plans to open a new train lane running from Tokyo to Nagoya by 2027 with an operational speed of 505km/h (315mph).

For comparsion, the travel times from Tokyo to Nagoya are;

  • By car ~ 4:00 hours
  • By train  (Current) ~ 3:26 hours
  • By plane (Point to Point) ~ 1:00
  • By future train ~ 0:40 hours
